Who you talk to

A lot of people think a referral service sends someone to their door. In practice, Sorryaway Windows & Siding does not do that. We pass your request to an independent provider in our network.

That provider is the one who talks with you, gives the quote, and does the work. Each provider runs its own business.

What happens on the call

Expect a few simple questions. The provider may ask:

• How many windows, or how much siding, are involved
• What type of home you have
• What problems you have noticed
• When you hope to start

Have rough numbers ready. Photos can help later. Remember, window requests are for replacement, not repairs, and need at least two windows.

Before the provider visits

Many providers like to see the home before they quote. A visit lets them measure windows, look at the siding, and spot trouble behind the walls. Ask how long the visit will take, and who needs to be home.

What to ask a provider

Good questions make a big difference. Here are some, and what a solid answer sounds like.

• "Is your quote written and itemized?" A good answer is yes, with materials, labor, and cleanup listed.
• "What products will you use?" Look for brand and model names, not vague terms.
• "Are you licensed and insured where required?" Ask to see proof.
• "Who does the work?" Some providers use their own crew. Others hire subcontractors. Either can be fine if they say so.
• "What is the timeline?" Expect a range, not a rush.

Red flags: pressure to sign today, a verbal-only price, or a big upfront payment with no paperwork.

You are in control

Requesting an estimate does not commit you to anything. You can compare quotes, ask more questions, or walk away. Typical U.S. costs vary by job, so a written quote is a handy tool for comparing.
